Ms. Kvetko is a licensed cosmetologist and owned her own salon from 1973 to 1984.
While running her salon, she and her husband, Edward Kvetko construction contractor, founded the Gloria Jean’s Coffee Bean Stores.
By 1985, the new company had grown to 17 stores in three states and demanded Ms. Kvetko’s full attention. She began franchising in 1986.
In the late 1993, Brothers Gourmet Coffee, which sold coffee beans in supermarkets, acquired Gloria Jean’s.
In 1995, Nabi Saleh visited Gloria Jean’s Coffee in United States. He and his business partner Peter Irvine had a high opinion of it that they secured the rights to open shops in Australia.
In 2004, Gloria Jean’s became an Australia-owned company and the majority of the stores are based in Australia.
